Man Charged With Assaulting Security Guard With Power Drill

A 21-year-old College Station man is charged with assaulting a security guard with a power drill.

A police report says Matthew Lentz was allegedly intoxicated in the Lofts apartments lobby on Holleman Drive early Saturday morning.

A security guard reportedly walked him back to his apartment.

But the security guard says Lentz locked him in the apartment and punched him in the face.

The report goes on to say when the guard was calling 9-1-1, Lentz got a cordless power drill and tried to use it as a weapon against the guard.

He is now charged with assault.
