A Bryan man is in jail Tuesday after being caught stealing money from a pay machine at a Northgate parking lot.
College Station Police spotted 48-year-old Cornelius Moore near the Coyote Parking Lot early Monday morning. When officers approached him, he quickly left the pay station and started walking away.
After being stopped, officers noticed money in Moore's right hand. When asked to sit down, he switched the money to his left hand. Moore told officers he was just passing through on his way to "Southgate."
Officers placed Moore in handcuffs to keep him from running away. Moore had $11 in his hand. The money was folded over in three places very similar to the open slot of each pay box for the machine at Coyote Lot.
According to the police report, the money had tears consistent with damage sustained from being removed from the pay machine.
Moore was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine.
Moore had been arrested previously for the same charge back in April of this year.
