Clinton James Easter, 44, of Breckenridge, was arrested early Sunday morning after a BTU employee noticed Easter attempting to load a pickup truck with copper wire. The incident took place at the BTU storage yard on Adkins Street in Bryan. Officers say when Easter saw them, he tried to run and hide under a truck. He was apprehended and booked into the Brazos County Jail.

Easter faces charges of Theft of Copper and Criminal Trespassing of a Critical Infrastructure. Easter posted bond Sunday afternoon and was released.
