A freshman has never won the Heisman Trophy, but Aggie Johnny Manziel has a chance to change that. Texas A&M is now putting some web support behind that possibility.

AggieAthletics.com has launched a site -- heisman.aggieathletics.com -- to help get the word out about the A&M quarterback who is setting records and garnering in-season awards.

The site features a newspaper profile of Manziel, a variety of videos and statistics, and mentions of the Aggie by prominent people through Twitter, from media members to legendary athletes like Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton and NBA legend David Robinson.

The Twitter hashtag #JohnnyFootball is promoted by the site. The "Johnny Football" nickname itself has been trademarked by an attorney for the Manziel family.

There is also a link to a fan vote website through ESPN and Nissan. One of the many votes for the Heisman will be cast based on fan voting on that site.

The Heisman Trophy has been given out to college football's most outstanding player since 1935. John David Crow is the lone Aggie to ever win. He was awarded the trophy in 1957.
