HOUSTON -- A man wearing a mask with the image of ex-President George W. Bush has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for four bank robberies.
A federal judge in Houston on Wednesday sentenced 40-year-old Gabriel Cabello of Dallas. Investigators say Cabello was responsible for two holdups in The Woodlands and two in Austin since 2010.
Cabello in September pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated bank robbery and brandishing a firearm during a violent crime.
Prosecutors say a bystander last February called 911 after noticing a man put on a mask and enter a bank in The Woodlands, which was then robbed. Cabello was caught minutes later in Conroe.
