Montgomery Co. Deputies Find 950 Pounds Of Pot In Pickup Truck

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies who pulled over a pickup truck driver from Harris County for a traffic violation ended up arresting him for drug possession.

Webster resident, Gerardo Mena was pulled over on Interstate 45 near Research Forest Tuesday afternoon around three o'clock.

During the traffic stop, investigators say they found 950 pounds pot in the bed of the 30-year-old's truck.

Officials say the marijuana was wrapped in 38 separate bundles.

Mena remains in the the Montgomery County Jail. His bond has been set at 500-thousand-dollars.
