A Montgomery County volunteer fire department is adding four new water tanker trucks to its fleet.

Magnolia fire officials say after last year's busy wildfire season, the added equipment will provided extra protection from the threat of fires.

As early as April, firefighters will have access to almost 12,000 gallons of water than they currently have available.

The new tankers will be housed at strategic stations throughout the county where lack of fire hydrants make it difficult have enough water to fight fires.

Each new truck will be able to hold about 3,300 gallons of water.
