Ron Carroll, 31 of Navasota was arrested Friday night for drug possession and assault on a Public Servant when he resisted arrest from 2 officers.

Bryan Police encountered Carroll's brown Chevrolet 4 door Caprice Friday just before 10 p.m. when he was travelling north at the 2100 block of Westridge Circle. Carroll made a right turn and parked in the driveway of a residence in the 1200 block of Webhollow Circle. Police noticed Carroll's expired registration tags. When they confronted Carroll, they also noticed several small baggies in the front seat, which appeared to be methamphetamine.

Police said Carroll resisted arrest from both officers. Backup was called and he was arrested shortly after.

The police report indicates Ron's wallet was found on the ground next to where he was arrested. Inside the wallet police found $395 cash in the following denominations: 1-$100, 14-$20, 1-$10, and 5-$5. Police say it is common for drug dealers to carry such denominations from drug sales. The cash was seized as proceeds from drug sales.

Ron was transported to BCDC, booked, and released to the jail staff. Ron was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group one 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams (cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group one under 1 gram (methamphetamine), Resisting Arrest, and Driving While License Invalid, Assault on Public Servant Causes Bodily Injury. Ron's Texas Identification Card showed that his driving privilege was suspended on 01/14/13. Ron also did not have insurance for the Caprice.
