NAVASOTA, GRIMES COUNTY Christmas is right around the corner and the city of Navasota is getting in the holiday spirit!
The city presents its 2nd annual "Home for the Hoildays" event in Downtown Navasota on December 14th. The downtown area will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland full of family activities.
Starting at 10 a.m., an ice skating rink, snow dome and 40-foot-tall snow slide will open.
Many downtown businesses will also be hosting activities throughout the day such as pictures with Santa, live dulcimer music, Christmas movies and many more festivities! Several local nonprofit organizations will be trying to raise money for their cause by selling holiday snacks and hot cocoa throughout the day.
The Christmas Parade will also be held on December 14th at 6 p.m. as part of this event. After the end of the parade we encourage everyone to come over to the City Hall for the lighting of the community Christmas tree at 7 p.m.
For more information on the event or to participate in the parade please call 936-825-6475.
