Hundreds of people showed up at a Shipwreck Grill in Bryan Wednesday night to help raise money for the families of the Bryan firefighters killed and injured in a fire a week and a half ago.
Boiled crawfish was on the menu, and people opened up their wallets and hearts. In all, the almost $50,000 was collected for the families.
Shipwreck, The Crawfish Hole, Members of The Bryan Police Officers Association, John Gause Plumbing and Protection Company One teamed up to boil 2,500 pounds of crawfish and raise that money to benefit Ricky Mantey and Mitch Moran, and the families of Lieutenants Eric Wallace and Gregory Pickard.
