In the last 30 days almost a dozen people have been arrested by Bryan and College Station police breaking into cars or homes. All of those arrests have been because of neighbors looking out for neighbors.
Friday morning it happened again when a man called 911 and reported there were two men actively burglarizing a house at 1209 Hawktree in College Station. The caller provided an accurate description of the two suspects and informed Police that they were taking property from the residence over the backyard fence.

Officers responded to the area and came up on the suspects in the 1200 block of Airline. When the suspects saw an Officer approaching they dropped a pillowcase containing stolen property, then split up and fled in opposite directions. The initial officer chased one of the suspects and was able to detain him in the 1000 block of Balcones Drive. Additional property thrown down by the suspect during the chase proved to be stolen from 1209 Hawktree.

Just over $2,000.00 dollars worth of stolen property was recovered.

The second suspect has not yet been located.

Eric Michael Guitron, A 19 year old College Station resident was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation (2nd Degree Felony) and Evading Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor).
