New $30M High-Rise to be Considered by CS City Council

Another high rise could be going up near Northgate in College Station in the next few years.

Thursday, the College Station City council is voting on a proposal Thursday night that would allow a four-to-eight story housing structure to go up at the corner of Wellborn and Church Street, next to Café Eccell. The structure would sit on more than 3 acres of land, and its expected to cost more than 30 million dollars.

Construction would be finished by 2016. Cafe Eccell is the only structure on the property right now, and the proposal says the restaurant will be incorporated into the building plans.
