The Bryan city council recognized this year's Newman 10 award winners at its meeting Tuesday night.
The Newman 10 awards are given each year to the ten fastest growing businesses in the Brazos Valley.
The winners were announced at a luncheon earlier this month.
KBTX was also honored then and Tuesday night. It was given the Anco Insurance Award for Lifetime Business Achievement for our 55 years of service to the Brazos Valley.

The fastest growing small businesses in the area were honored Wednesday.
The annual Bryan Rotary Club/Newman 10 Business Performance Awards recognize the businesses that impact the area. This year, the top honor went to Fries Financial Services.
A three-time honoree but first-time first place winner, the Bryan business with its six employees showed sales growth of 183 percent from 2009 to 2011.
"Our philosophy has always been to do what is in the client's best interest 100 percent of the time," Denise Fries said. "Our actions should always benefit the clients all of the time. Our clients recognize this, and this makes them loyal to our company."
In addition to the ten businesses honored, KBTX News 3 was recognized with the Anco Insurance Award for Lifetime Business Achievement for its 55 years of service to the region.
"With honors like this comes responsibility," KBTX General Manager Mike Wright said. "This serves to strengthen our partnership with this community to work together in making life better for our friends and neighbors."
The Newman 10 Awards, named for the Newman Printing Company, began in 1994.
