College Station Police Investigate U.S. Postal Facilities Theft

COLLEGE STATION On January 13, 2014 at approximately 0706 hrs, officers of the College Station Police Department were dispatched to the United States Postal Facility located in the 14000 block of FM 2154 in regards to a report that thefts had occurred at that location.

At approximately 1515 hrs, officers were dispatched to the United States Postal Facility located in the 2100 block of Harvey Mitchell Parkway regarding thefts that had occurred at that location. Investigation at both locations revealed the following information.

Sometime between Saturday, January 11, 2014 and Monday, January 13, 2014 suspect(s) entered these postal facilities and utilized force to pry open package drop box doors utilized to hold over-sized parcels for postal customers.

In total, there were 6 reported offenses at the FM 2154 location (5 thefts and 1 criminal mischief) and 14 reported offenses at the Harvey Mitchell Parkway location (13 thefts and 1 criminal mischief). The individual theft offenses relate to the particular victims and the criminal mischief offenses reflect damage to U.S. Postal Service property.

Investigation into this incident continues in conjunction with U.S. Postal Service officials. Anyone with information regarding these offenses is asked to contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600.
