Local businesses are banding together to benefit the families affected by last week's deadly shooting in College Station.
The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Texas A&M and more than two dozen businesses -- many of them restaurants -- are partnering to hold "A Night Out in B/CS" Wednesday.
A portion of the proceeds from sales at participating businesses Wednesday will go to the funds for the families of Constable Brian Bachmann and Christopher Northcliffe.
The two were shot and killed August 13 as Bachmann was delivering an eviction notice to a home on Fidelity Street in College Station. Northcliffe was an innocent bystander nearby.
According to the project's website Tuesday morning, the following businesses will be participating:
-Buffalo Wild Wings
-The Village Downtown
