Duck Jam won't be jamming in College Station this year.
According to a city spokesperson, event promoters said they could not overcome financial losses from the music festival without support from the organization they raised money for, Ducks Unlimited.
The spokesperson added that the promoters' decision was not based on whether the city would provide financial help for the event.
College Station was a title sponsor of Duck Jam last year because of in-kind services the city provided, although city officials note it was not a "signature event" of the city like Texas Reds is for the City of Bryan.
Willie Nelson, Aaron Watson and Cooilo were among the performers who have hit the stage at Wolf Pen Creek for previous Duck Jams.
