Normangee City Council Names New Police Chief

The City of Normangee has a new police chief.

Thursday night the city council approved the hiring of Jody Navarro.

Navarro, who's from Madisonville, has been with the department for four years, most recently serving as interim chief following the firing of Chief Rhonda Henry in May.

The council also hired another officer to fill Navarro's position.

That completes the two man police force.
