Businesses at the Northgate District in College Station are kicking off their holiday season Thursday evening by making everything a little brighter.

The trees of Northgate have been decked with Christmas lights and decorations to bring a little of the holiday spirit to the popular destination. Northgate organizers say the "Northgate Wonderland" scene is made up of 18 decorated trees and plenty of decorations.

It all started with a lighting ceremony and a choral performance from the talented voices of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The decorations will be providing visitors with a bit of the holiday spirit from now until New Years' Day.
