On The Border Reopens Its Doors

After having its food permit suspended for a roach infestation, the On The Border mexican food restaurant is back open in College Station.

The restaurant opened back up for lunch Friday after crews from Ecolab cleaned up the pest problem.

The Brazos County Health Department fined On The Border $500 and the restaurant released the following statement regarding its closing.

"Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to your story regarding the health inspection at On The Border in Bryan/College Station, TX.

The violation was promptly corrected and the restaurant has cleared inspection and re-opened today at 11:30 am.

We are committed to ensuring we continue to receive positive reports as we have at this location for the last 14 years. All of our locations follow strict health and sanitation standards that meet or exceed county, state and federal health regulations. We employ an independent third-party company, Ecolab, to audit our restaurants' cleanliness and sanitation every six months and provide preventative services including pest control every 30 days.

At On The Border, taking care of our guests is our No. 1 priority. We value the relationships we share with our guests and are committed to serving only the highest quality products and providing an enjoyable atmosphere. We look forward to serving our loyal guests in College Station for many years to come."
