The Texas Army National Guard in Bryan got a special treat Sunday morning.
The Girl Scouts of Central Texas delivered more than 1200 Girl Scout Cookies to the Texas Army National Guard - 1st Squadron, 112th Cavalry Regiment.
"Operation: cookie drop-off" usually just has a truck drop off the cookies each year, but for the first time the guard was able to meet the girl scouts face-to-face.
"It's great to actually meet them and interact with the people that are sending the cookies that bring a bit of home to us when we are not able to be there," said Capt. David Wakashige.
10% of all cookies sold are donated to the Texas Army National Guard each year.
