A man is in the hospital after sustaining serious injuries in an overnight stabbing in College Station.
College Station Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Wellborn Rd just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday in response to a reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a 20 year old white male that had been stabbed multiple times. A witness on scene reported that the victim and two of his friends were walking southbound along the East side of Wellborn Rd. When a white colored Ford Mustang drove by and a confrontation erupted. It was then reported that a Hispanic male got out of the vehicle and began stabbing the victim with a pocket knife.
According to police, one of the victim's friends attempted to intervene and was also injured by the *actor. The second victim is described as a 20 year old white male. That victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The actor then fled the scene in his vehicle traveling northbound on Texas Avenue. The original victim was transported to the College Station Medical Center and treated for incapacitating injuries.
While at the hospital, CSPD officers were approached by a Hispanic male who claimed to be involved in the same incident. The male had a cut to his hand and claimed that he had been attacked by the two victims.
The 100 block of Wellborn Rd. Was closed for several hours while crime scene officers processed the scene and detectives interviewed the involved parties.
The original victim is reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.
The case has been turned over to the College Station Criminal Investigation Division for investigation.
