"Pawpalooza" to benefit Bryan Animal Center this Friday, Apr. 27

On Friday, April 27, Texas A&M University’s One Love will host the first annual Pawpalooza, a carnival-type event complete with games, live music, a movie, and more. The event will be suggested donation at entry and all proceeds will go to benefit the Bryan Animal Center. Pawpalooza will kick-off at 5:00 p.m. at College Station’s Central Park.
There will be multiple booths and activities set up, local music from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and an opportunity to meet some of the animals from the Bryan Animal Center. At dusk, the movie Bolt will play at the pavilion.

Founded in 2008, One Love is a growing organization that in its short time at Texas A&M has done a great amount to enhance the quality of the community. One such effort is Party Pick-ups, a committee of One Love that recycles for large events and organizations and was recently recognized by Keep Brazos Beautiful for their work in sustainability. Supporting the Bryan Animal Center with Pawpalooza was a simple choice. As expressed by Kelly Rogers of One Love, “We see an organization that provides an important service to the community - taking in animals that need shelter and finding them loving homes.”

The funding for Pawpalooza comes in large part from One Love winning a contest and receiving a $500 jumpstart grant from the website http://www.GOOD.is - a collaborative site comprised of individuals, businesses, and nonprofits supporting efforts to improve themselves and the world around them.
