Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit Crossing CS Street

A pedestrian who was hit at a College Station intersection last Friday has died.

College Station Police say 21-year-old Desiree Vinson died Sunday morning from the injuries she received in the auto-pedestrian accident.

Investigators say early Friday morning, the driver of a van was eastbound on Rock Prairie Road near Longmire when he hit Vinson, a College Station resident. Police say the driver has been cooperating during their investigation, and no charges have been filed.

Investigators will reconstruct the accident Tuesday starting at 4:00 a.m. for about three hours, so expect lane closures and possible delays in the area.
