Pedestrian Hit by Truck, Killed in South Brazos County

An early morning accident Sunday in south Brazos County leaves a pedestrian dead and a driver hospitalized.

According to DPS, Byron Brown was on foot along FM 159 southwest of McCrory around 2:45 a.m. when a pickup crashed into him. The 35-year-old from College Station was killed instantly, according to troopers.

The truck's driver, 23-year-old Brittany Davis of Hearne, was taken to the College Station Medical Center and was last listed in fair condition.

DPS had no other details Sunday night on the accident or if any charges would be filed.
