WALKER COUNTY Some residents in a dry precinct of Walker County want the ability to buy and sell alcohol, and now the issue is headed to the ballot box.

The Walker County Commisioners agreed Monday to accept a citizen petition to legalize all liquor sales in Precinct 2.

More than 2,000 thousand signatures were collected, and a majority were verified as valid for petition purposes.

It will go to the voters in November.
