TEMPLE A pilot escaped serious injury late Thursday afternoon when a civilian helicopter crashed at Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport in Temple.
The helicopter ended up on its side near a building on the airport grounds.
Further information about the crash and how it occurred wasn’t immediately available.
Firefighters and paramedics were sent to the airport just before 5 p.m. Thursday in response to the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.
