BRYAN A Bryan man was arrested after police say he robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint early Saturday morning.
The clerk works at the Fas-Start Markets on Highway 21.
The clerk reportedly told police he was leaving work Saturday morning when the suspect approached him and asked for a lighter. That's when the suspect pulled out a pistol, pressed it against the clerks neck and demanded the clerk give up his wallet.
Police say the suspect took about $500 in cash then drove away. The clerk was able to get the suspect's license plate number and call police.
