Police say they are getting closer to figuring out how a 63-year-old Caldwell man was murdered last Friday.

Investigators say Bennie King, 63, was found dead inside his home Friday afternoon by someone who live with him.

Preliminary autopsy results show he died from blunt force trauma.

Nortorris LaMonte, 37, Deere from Caldwell was questioned Friday night by police and later charged with murder.

He is currently being held in the Burleson County Jail on 500-thousand dollars bond.

King's son says he worked as a maintenance man for the City of Caldwell before he retired about 6 years ago. He was a father of four, and neighbors describe him as a talkative and friendly guy.
