BRYAN Police have arrested a Bryan man on public intoxication & unlawful carrying of a weapon charges after they say he was seen by officers stumbling and picking up a gun.
Ricardo Luna, 24, of Bryan, was allegedly seen stumbling while walking near the 100 block of West Villa Maria Road around 1pm Friday. An officer on patrol says he watched Luna pick up a gun that was on the ground and circled back around.
Police tell us Luna was ordered by the officer to put the gun down. Investigators say he complied with the requests. He then was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
Online records for Brazos County show Luna had been arrested for weapons and alcohol-related charges before. This February, records show Luna was arrested for DWI, and in 2008, a prior charge of possessing a prohibited weapon.
As of Friday afternoon, bond for Luna was set at $4,450.
