CSPD Investigating Fatal Auto Pedestrian Accident On Hwy 6

Police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident in the 4200 block of Highway 6 in College Station near William D. Fitch.

Police say it happened a little after 10:30 Wednesday night.

A pick up truck traveling north on the Highway 6 feeder struck a pedestrian walking in the same direction. That person died at the scene.

The roadway was shut down for several hours while police investigated the crash but reopened early Thursday morning.

The identity of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

If anyone has information concerning the crash, you're asked to call College Station Police at 764-3600.
