DPS Investigating Overnight Search In Washington County

UPDATE: The Department of Pubic Safety is still looking for the male suspect believed to be involved in a Washington County chase Friday night.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating a search overnight in Washington County.

Investigators say an officer attempted to pull over a vehicle on FM 105 near FM 912 in Washington.

The driver refused to stop and ended up wrecking his car along a curve on FM 1155 near Washington on the Brazos State Park.

Investigators say the car caught fire, but the driver escaped and ran into the woods.

Brenham police have a K-9 unit searching the area and the Washington County Sheriff's Office is assisting.
