College Station city officials say all power has been restored Wednesday after outages that started early in the evening.
According to the City of College Station, about 2,000 customers were without power starting around 6:00 p.m.
By close to 8:00 p.m., the city sent a tweet from its official account saying all power was restored.
City officials cited an equipment failure at the CSU switch station as the cause. They said the maximum outage was one hour, 40 minutes, though some customers had power restored sooner.
Among the issues, businesses near University Drive and Highway 6 were reporting they had no electricity. Multiple traffic signals were out and police were sent to direct traffic.
