Press Repairs Cause Wednesday's Eagle to Be Thrown Late

Eagle subscribers can expect a delay in their newspaper being delivered this morning because of a glitch with the press.

Circulation Director Jack Perkins said pressmen worked on the problem for several hours, and were able to get the presses rolling by 4 a.m.

Editor Kelly Brown described the situation as “extremely rare.”

“We know our readers understand that it’s not a process that’s 100 percent perfect all the time, though we have an excellent track record of putting out a daily newspaper,” Brown said. “Our capable pressmen got us back up and running, now carriers are headed to their routes. We apologize for any inconvenience this presents.”

If you haven’t received your newspaper by 8 a.m., please call the Eagle circulation department at 776-2345.
