COLLEGE STATION - A crime Alert and a simple reminder to lock your car.

Police say at least 9 different burglaries or attempted burglaries were reported Friday morning in College Station along Summit and Valley View Drive. That's concentrated around an area near FM 2818, close to Longmire Dr.

Investigators say only small items were taken, and the common thread: all were left unlocked by their owners. No suspect has been identified, but police say it may have all been the work of one person or group because of the same method of break-in and proximity of the crimes.
