Reckless Driver Escapes On Foot After Flipping Car

UPDATE: Police have now found the driver and have issued him a ticket.

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a Chevy Camaro after it flipped into a ditch and crashed into a spool of cable around 1:30 a.m.

After reports of reckless driving, officers found the vehicle tipped on its side off of Highway 30 between Bird Pond and William D. Fitch in East Brazos County.

Police say when they arrived on scene, the driver was gone. They believe he escaped through the sunroof.

No word yet on the cost of damage done to the cable spool. The case is still under investigation.
