The second day for Chilifest is in the books and organizers say the annual event had a record breaking attendance this year.
Organizers estimate that the 2-day event brought in more than 50,000 people.
"It's getting pretty big and we’re happy and seems like everyone is having a great time. We donate significant portion of everything we make, everything we make goes to different charities in the Brazos Valley. Last year I believe we donated about $180,000, and were hoping for more this year,” said Tanner Newton, an organizer with Chilifest.
Proceeds from Chilifest go to charities including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Burleson County Go-Texan Association and Special Olympics.
