Rick Trevino, Fajita Cook-Off to Open 2013 Starlight Music Series

The City of College Station's 2013 edition of the Starlight Music Series will provide three dates of free entertainment and special events this summer at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater and festival grounds.

May 4
Onstage: Rick Trevino, with guest Del Castillo
In the park: Fajita Cook-Off

Before enjoying the evening’s onstage entertainment, join us for a fajita cook-off that will mark the official opening of the new Wolf Pen Creek Park Festival Grounds! Whether you choose to compete or just eat, be part of the fun 12-6 p.m. We’ll have plenty of activities for the entire family, including interactive games, giveaways and other attractions courtesy of the National Guard.

May 25
Onstage: Ruthie Foster, with guest Carrie Rodriguez
In the park: The Great Texas Rubber Ducky Derby, benefiting the Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley. 6:45 p.m.

June 8
Onstage: Midnight Express, with guest The Razz Band
In the park: The Bluebonnet Street Rodders annual Rod Run at nearby Stephen C. Beachy Central Park features hot rods, street rods, muscle cars and more. 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission is free and all concerts begin at 7 p.m. Guests may bring their own refreshments, but glass containers are not allowed. Coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Refreshments and souvenir Starlight shirts will be on sale, and an ATM will be located on site.
