Rockdale Man Charged With Intoxication Manslaughter

A Rockdale man has been indicted on charges of intoxication manslaughter for causing the death of an unborn child.

56-year-old Mark Allen Talley who was indicted January 17th, bonded out of jail the Milam County Jail on Tuesday after posting a $30,000 bond.

Rockdale police say Talley was first arrested at the scene of an accident in October 2012. Investigators say Talley was drunk and behind the wheel when he hit a woman who was six months pregnant.

According to witnesses, the woman was struck as she walked along the street pushing her twins in a stroller. The twins escaped injury, but the mother who was treated at Scott & White Hospital in Temple suffered severe internal bleeding and lost her unborn baby.
