COLLEGE STATION The College Station Police Department says traffic is now back to normal after a rollover vehicle crash at the intersection of George Bush and Texas Avenue.
CSPD says the wreck happened Monday around 4pm between a Mini Cooper and a pickup. Investigators say the driver of the pickup ran a red light and hit the Mini Cooper - which had a protected left turn signal. Police said the pickup also struck a traffic signal pole, and a toolbox came out of the bed, hitting a Jeep waiting at the signal.
Police say the driver of the pickup was given a ticket and the driver of the Mini Cooper was taken to the College Station Medical center for treatment of minor injuries.
Traffic lights at the intersection were knocked offline and were blinking red.
Portions of the roadway were closed and drivers were advised to avoid the area but things were clear shortly after 6pm.
