WASHINGTON, D.C. Well loved City of Bryan Employee and Jefferson Award Winner, Ronnie Jackson, was honored nationally on the House Floor on Wednesday.
Congressman Bill Flores recognized Jackson, who lost his battle to lung cancer last month, for his work as a public servant. The Congressman mentioned many of the organizations Jackson was involved with, and said he was a "community treasure".
"He was described by many as hard working devoted and a kind man", said Flores of Jackson as he went on to speak about Jackson's impact on communities across the Brazos Valley.
Jackson served as longtime Neighborhood and Youth Services Director for the City of Bryan.
