BRYAN Police say two roommates in Bryan got into an argument over beer which ended up with one person cutting the other with a knife.

Investigators say around 8 p.m. Saturday, they were called out to the 600 block of Churchill Drive in Bryan. Police found the victim, 36-year-old Kenneth Stone, in the middle of the road. Stone told police he confronted his roommate, 54-year-old Ronnie Smith, because Smith drank several of his beers.

The argument ended up outside, and Stone told police that Smith took out a pocket knife and cut him on his arm, and then punched him in the face.

Smith was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
