The previously-postponed announcement of the new Southeastern Conference television channel will now take place next week.
SEC officials and leaders and coaches from member schools will be in Atlanta on Thursday, May 2 for the announcement of the SEC Network, a partnership between the conference and ESPN. It will take place at noon Eastern Time, or 11:00 a.m. CT.
Due to the Boston bombings, Tuesday's scheduled announcement was postponed.
The Big Ten and Pac 12 have already launched conference television channels.
KBTX.com currently plans to stream the event live.
