BRAZOS COUNTY — On Tuesday, September 17, 2013 around 5pm, the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will open the new SH 47 HSC overpass project to traffic. TxDOT’s contractor will begin striping the roadway around 8:30am and should be done around 4:30pm, and then they will open the roadway to traffic.
TxDOT’s contractor has some minor work to complete before the project is totally complete. This minor work should take approximately one more month to complete but will not be in the main lanes of traffic.
This $9.8 million interchange project began in February of 2012. This work is contracted to Knife River that constructed an interchange at SH 47 and HSC Parkway.
