Finding a great deal on travel isn't as easy as it used to be. As the cost of fuel rises so does the cost of flying. However, there are ways to save.

If money has you worried, then think out of season.
Tip number one, be flexible.
If you want to cruse the high seas, local travel agent Jo Ann Muzny with Noel's Travel says September and October are the best months to go.
"It's before the high season of the winter months when everyone wants to go, where it's warm and it's after the summer months when summer vacations are going on," Muzny said.
It's hurricane season, but travel insurance can protect your trip if nature gets in the way.
If Europe is on your list, then avoid the end of May through mid October to save big.
Tip number two, if you see a good price for a flight grab it.
"You can look at a fare at 9 o'clock on a Monday morning and by 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon it could no longer be there," Muzny said. "Due to deregulation they can change a fare at a whim."
Muzny says there's no rhyme or reason to how airlines do their fares.
However, some money saving experts say Tuesday is the time to buy.
According to consumer finance website, WalletPop, you can find the cheapest flights and package deals between 3 and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Tip number three, take the time to search for the best deal
