BRYAN, Texas - One person was injured and another is on the run after a shooting in Bryan late Tuesday night.
Witnesses reported hearing several shots fired around 11 at the Village on the Creek Condominiums in the 4400 block of Old College Road, investigators said. The witnesses told police they saw an armed man running through the parking lot.
Police said they found the man when they arrived on scene, but he ran off when they tried to talk with him.
When officers caught up with him, they noticed he'd been shot, but the wound appeared to be non-life threatening. Police said he was later taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
While at the hospital, investigators said they found illegal narcotics on the victim. He told police he'd been shot by a white or Hispanic man, around 5-feet-seven inches tall with an average build.
Police said they found a firearm during a sweep of the apartments.
The shooter is still on the run, but police said they think this was an isolated incident, and they don't believe the public is in any danger.
