Six College Station Fire Department members were honored in Houston Wednesday night for saving an accident victim's life.
The six College Station employees were at the scene of an accident with a cement truck and a dump truck.
Despite three feet of concrete and a large fuel leak, the firefighters were able to pull the dump truck's driver from his vehicle, likely saving his life.
These six were among more than three dozen law enforcement officers and firefighters from 18 counties who were recognized at the annual "100 Club" event.
The organization raises money to help departments buy equipment, educate officers and help dependents of the fallen.
