A pilot has been air-lifted to a Houston hospital after crashing the glider he was flying in Navasota.
The aircraft went down around 6:30 p.m. in a vacant lot north of the airport in Navasota near the River Haven community on Highway 105.
The pilot, who is from Houston, was taken by a PHI air medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
No word yet on what caused the glider to crash.
