COLLEGE STATION, Texas It's a new year and time for those traditional new year's resolutions.
People with a nationwide movement were in College Station Tuesday night asking people to promise to do things differently in 2014.
"Because I Said I Would" is a movement started by Alex Sheen in Ohio.
News Year's Eve av ideo crew hit the Corner Bar letting customers write down promises to keep for 2014.
Folks wrote down many things from not texting and driving, to spending more time with loved ones.
Alyssa Falck decided to try being a vegetarian for a year.
"I think it's fantastic. It helps people hold you accountable to achieve your goals and really to prosper," she said.
"It's actually a worldwide event. We've got a city in the UK and it's spanning all across North America. We've got Michigan, we've got College Station, Texas; Evergreen, Colorado; San Jose, California and it's going all the way to Australia," said Anna Costas, a Because I Said I Would Volunteer.
Participants were also interviewed for a video being released on YouTube.
