COLLEGE STATION, Texas Spec's store officials say financial information from several of their stores was hacked, and customers should pay close attention to their personal accounts.
Spec's Wines, Spirits and Finer Foods, a Texas-based company, reported the financial information theft affected 34 of their smaller stores around the state, including three in the Bryan, College Station area.
The Spec's on Longmire and Rock Prairie, the JJ's Liquor on Texas Avenue near Harvey and the JJ"s Liquor on Texas Avenue in Bryan were affected. JJ's Liquor is owned by Spec's. The JJ's Liquor in Bryan has since closed, but it was open during the affected times.
Spec's officials said if you shopped at the store between October 31, 2012, and March 20, 2013 and used a credit card, debit card or personal check, your personal account information may have been stolen.
