A movement to stop a possible highway in Grimes County is continuing with a big meeting Monday night.
Members of the Stop Grimes 249 Group are meeting Monday evening to talk about what they say is an unneeded highway that would connect Navasota and Houston with what's called the Aggie Highway.
TxDOT is still in the planning phase for Highway 249 which could be a possible toll road connecting near Highway 6 in Navasota to north Houston.
But the final route has not been decided.
The Stop Grimes 249 Group will have a community meeting Monday, September 16th at 7 P.M. at the Plantersville - Stoneham Fire Station.
That's located at 15985 Farm-To-Market Road 1774 in Plantersville.
